Herb Pascarl was one of the founders of the then named Footscray
District Football League in 1931. Herb is an icon at the Parkside
Football Club, he was a very successful President and Administrator,
and in 1952 he
received Life Membership of the Parkside
Football Club.
In honour to Herbie, the Pavillion at Merv Hughes Oval will forever be named
the Herb Pascarl Pavillion. Herb's service to the Footscray District
Football League was recognised in 1995 when a medal named after him
was introduced into
the league, this
medal
is to be given to the best and fairest players in the first division
grand final.
During season 2000 Herb was awarded with an Australian Sports
Award for his services to Australian Rules Football in the Western Regions
of
Melbourne.
Parkside
Football Club would like to thank Herb for his remarkable dedication
to the Western suburbs, the League and most of all, Parkside Football Club.
Herb
Pascarl will forever be a idol to any player to pull on the black and white
stripes.
