Herb Pascarl

Herb Pascarl was one of the founders of the then named Footscray District Football League in 1931.  Herb is an icon at the Parkside Football Club, he was a very successful President and Administrator, and in 1952 he received Life Membership of the Parkside Football Club.

In honour to Herbie, the Pavillion at Merv Hughes Oval will forever be named the Herb Pascarl Pavillion.  Herb's service to the Footscray District Football League was recognised in 1995 when a medal named after him was introduced into the league, this medal is to be given to the best and fairest players in the first division grand final.

During season 2000 Herb was awarded with an Australian Sports Award for his services to Australian Rules Football in the Western Regions of Melbourne.

Parkside Football Club would like to thank Herb for his remarkable dedication to the Western suburbs, the League and most of all, Parkside Football Club.

Herb Pascarl will forever be a idol to any player to pull on the black and white stripes.
